The MindPlace Kasina is a light and sound device used in Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE) therapy. It is a wearable system — not a game or activity — designed to gently guide brainwave patterns using synchronized light pulses and audio tones.
During a session, you wear specialized light glasses (Ganzframes) and headphones. The glasses emit soft, rhythmic light patterns while carefully timed sound frequencies play through the headphones. These combined sensory inputs encourage the brain to naturally shift toward specific states such as relaxation, focused attention, meditation, or restorative rest.
Different mental states correspond with distinct brainwave frequencies (for example, Alpha for relaxation, Beta for focus, and Delta for deep sleep). The Kasina device uses precise synchronization technology to support these shifts in a structured, non-invasive way.
What a Session Feels Like
Sessions are comfortable and customizable. Light intensity, sound levels, and program selection are adjusted to your comfort and goals. You may keep your eyes open or closed depending on the setting. Many individuals describe the experience as calming, immersive, and mentally clarifying.
Potential Benefits May Include:
• Stress reduction and nervous system regulation
• Improved concentration and cognitive clarity
• Support for meditation practice
• Enhanced creativity
• Sleep support
• Mood stabilization
AVE is considered a safe, non-invasive modality for most individuals. It is not a replacement for medical treatment but may be used as a complementary tool within a comprehensive mental health plan. A brief screening is completed beforehand to ensure it is appropriate for you.
